My absent mind
Ellen van de Sande is a graphic designer from the Netherlands. 'My absent mind' is an ongoing project which she has been working on for over 5 years now. It started as doodling during meetings and telephone calls. Soon she realised the repetitive nature of these drawing helped her to create space and clarity in her mind.
Each line drawing is the result of a nearly meditative process resulting into organic or geometric patterns. These drawings can take several weeks to complete, depending on the size and difficulty of the pattern. The process is just as important to her as the product. Her work not only shows dedication and patience, it also shows her graphic eye and steady hand.
